Principal's News
I hope all families have enjoyed the holiday break and had some time to rest and relax over the break. It's hard to believe that Term Four is upon us! The last term of the year is always very busy, with numerous events on the calendar, so below are a few reminders of upcoming events for families to note. As always, we will notify families through the newsletter or Seesaw if there are any unforeseen changes of dates.
As the warmer weather is now with us, summer uniform is required for all students. Please make sure that your child has the uniform items they need for the term. A reminder that only the appropriate jewellery and hair accessories should be worn (check the Parent Information Book on our website if unsure).
Our new junior playground looks amazing and we are now waiting for the rubber to be placed underneath to make sure that the area is safe. We have also had some plumbing works done over the holidays in the playground area which are dragging on longer than expected, so fingers crossed these will be finished soon. I'm sure the students can't wait to use the new equipment!
Term Four can try out the best of us, and students (and families and teachers!) will begin to tire out toward the end of the year. It is important to keep encouraging your child to stay motivated until all of our learning is completed and remind them that there are plenty of fun activities coming up as well!

Swan Hill Camp
Below is the camp note that went home at the end of last term. There will another note sent home next week with additional information and reminders.
Cost: Total payment of $460 (including deposit) is now overdue. If any family is having difficulty in paying this amount, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Gallagher at the school or via email: principal@olshmerbein.catholic.edu.au
Medication: If your child takes any medication that needs to be administered during the camp, these forms must be filled out and returned to school.
School Fees
A reminder that all fees are due to be paid in full by the end of October. Please contact Mrs Gallagher at the school or via email: principal@olshmerbein.catholic.edu.au if you would like to discuss any concerns regarding payment.
Summer Sports
On Friday October 11th the children in Grade 5 and 6 will be competing in Summer Sports against Merbein P-10 and The Lake Primary Schools. The children will compete in Tennis, Basketball and Volleyball. Attendance to this event relies on parents compleing the consent on SIMON prior to the day. Thank you to those families who have already done so.

2025 Prep Transition
Melbourne Cup Weekend
A reminder that the four-day Melbourne Cup break is coming up soon. There will be no school on Monday November 4th, as teachers will begin report writing. Tuesday November 5th is the Melbourne Cup Day holiday.
Mission Week - 11th to 15th November
Mission Week includes several different activities, incuding our Colour Run. Information regarding this week will be sent out soon.
Grade 6 Graduation
Please note that there has been a change to the Grade 6 Graduation. This is now taking place on Tuesday, 10th December due to Fr. Matt's commitments across all schools.
Last Day of Term 4
The last day of Term 4 for students will be on Wednesday, 18th December.
