Principal's News
Dear Families,
I hope everyone has had an enjoyable, illness-free holiday. This term, like all terms, is going to be busy with lots of quality learning taking place. We also welcome back Mrs. Gallagher from her travels and Miss Appledore who has also been on leave. We have events such as Father's Day, Athletics, P/1/2 Sleepover, Footy Colours Day, and the Disco.
Just a couple of reminders to start the term:
There is no school on Friday, July 19th (first Friday back) as staff will be participating in the second Structured Literacy Day of the year.
Parent/Teacher Interviews are on Monday, July 22nd and Tuesday, July 23rd. Please log on to SIMON Everywhere and make a booking.
The Junior Swimming Program runs from August 19th to August 23rd.
SSG Meetings on Monday, July 28th and Friday, August 1st. Please log on to SIMON Everywhere and make a booking.
OLSH Athletics Day is Tuesday, September 1oth (Change of date).

Prep News
Welcome to Term 3!
I hope you all had a wonderful break.
I have enjoyed being back this week and spending time with students. They have all grown so much since I last saw them!
A very big thank you goes to Mrs Breanna Meyer for all her work last term in keeping all the learning and development continuing. Thank you to everyone for assisting to make this time go really well for everyone.
Reading- Well done to all students who continued to read over the holidays. Please make sure you are reading each night and practising word books as well.
Show and Tell- A new list was sent home last term. Please let me know if you would like a new sheet. Week 2’s topic is ‘Something that starts with Cc’.
Prep Reports will be ready to access today.
100th day- This is coming up very soon on Monday of Week 3. On this day we will complete lots of fun activities. A note came home on Monday with an activity to complete at home.
Looking forward to seeing everyone over the next couple of weeks at Parent Teacher Interviews and SSG Meetings. Please contact the office if you haven't booked an appointment.
Grade 1 News

Bell Times
8.30am | Supervision of students begin. Classrooms are remained closed. |

SIMON Everywhere App
This can be downloaded from either the Google Play Store or the Apple Store. The app has been updated earlier this year and an email was sent out to parents. If you are having issues with logging in, can you please contact Mia in the office.
Student Medical Profile
Medical Profile: Please make sure that the school has been notified of any changes that have been made to your child’s Medical Profile on PAM and to also include this on the pink Parental Authority and Consent Form each year.
IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PARENT TO MAKE OLSH AWARE OF ANY CHANGES.
Parent Notified Absence
If your child is unwell and will be absent from school, you are able to complete a Parent Notified Absence (PNA) on the SIMON Everywhere App or Parent Access Module (PAM) which will automatically notify the teacher and a text message will not be sent.
Newsletters
These are distributed every Friday on SIMON Everywhere and the OLSH Website. Please contact us if at any time you have any queries or require any further explanation about events, dates etc. Any items for the newsletter are asked to be handed in at the office by 9.00am on Friday.
Attendance & Sign in
A reminder to parents that the school needs to be notified of a student absence by 10 am on the day. This can be done by calling the school office or by using SIMON Everywhere or sending an email to admin@olsmerbein.catholic.edu.au.
Second Hand Uniform
Please contact the school if you require any second hand uniform.
